Forebear Friday
This is my Nanny, Marjorie (front left), who left school at 12 to become a seamstress. This must have been the other girls she worked with in the bodice room. Taken in 1920 when she was 16.

Hannah where is that, in Australia?
Yes Jenni, in Melbourne, she grew up in and around the Armadale area.
She was a fabulous seamstress Hannah, and made some lovely dresses. I wore one she made for herself to a wedding, some 40 years after she made it and it was still as good as new, beautifully finished and very pretty! Love, Mum
