Here's a photo of my Mum at school in Oxford, UK. I'm guessing they were in sewing class, wonder what they were making. Mum, can you enlighten us? Mum is the one sitting in the white top.
Wow Hannah - that brought back a few memories! It was either 1963 or '64, just about my last year at school. Very small school by today's standards, that photo was the entire class bar one other member!! Can't remember what I was making...it wasn't the shocking pink dressing gown with black ruffle round the neck and down the front which I was so proud of! The hair is soooooooo 60s, isn't it?!
What a great shot. Obviously you are following in your Mum's footsteps with the sewing. You are inspiring me each week to hunt down my Mums and Grandma's old albums. I used to really love looking through them as a kid.
I was so sad as I thought you had run away BUT then I realised that somehow I had deleted you off my blog list!!! I am such a techno retard!!! Anyway was missing out on Forebear Fridays & other stuff - glad I worked out what had happened!!! Love this piccie too TK xx
i love your forebear fridays! such a lovely way to acknowledge those whose lives have gone before and impacted our lives. and this week, such a fabulous photo of your mum!
