I need book ideas

It's my birthday in a few weeks and I'm going to buy myself a sewing book (I have none) so I need some ideas.

I think I want one with patterns in it more than a 'how to' book but I'm pretty open minded.

So could you please tell me your favourite sewing book so I get some ideas.

Thanks. xx

Have you tried Sewing Clothes Kids Love - by Nancy Langdon (Studio Tantrum) and Sabine Polehn (Fabernmix)?
One of my favourites for sure - lots of fun clothes for kids :-)

Hiya Hun, sorry I have been away from blog land... Sick kids, sick self, getting stuff ready for markets... Etc Carlos and the kids bought me Meet Me At Mikes and it is awesome. All patterns are included and you can choose things for babies, kids, yourself... Worth every penny!!

I LOVE anything by Emma Hardy. She has just realised a kids costume book which is divine. She also has a Sewing clothes for children (including patterns), Sewing in no time and Quilting in no time. They are all fab.

I have an old 70's how to sew and if I can't find it in that or figure it out there is always YouTube....great for those of us who are monkey see, monkey do type of learners :-)

I have a few favorites - Sewing Green, Zakka Sewing and prints Charming come to mind first. Sounds like you have a fun browsing trip to the bookshop soon!
