Quilt

I haven't got anything crafty to show you at the moment so here's a quilt I finished earlier in the year. My very first quilt...very easy. I think it was out of Better Homes and Gardens. I used old jeans and shirts for one side and a big piece of fabric my SIL brought back from Africa for the other half. The only hard bit was to snip all the edges.

OMG (sorry but I had to use it) I was showing Carlos this exact quilt in the BH&G mag i got from the treasure shop last week (for 20c). I told him it would be easier to make this quilt as it has individual quilt sections as apposed to a massive piece you need to sew together. It would technically be my 2nd quilt attempt. Hannah can you get any more random than that??!!

I was going to use corduroy for the base and mix'n'match purple, green and denim...

what gorgeous photos...I love the rusty rich reds against the washed out grey greens especially in the last photo it looks so pretty. Great quilt! I am impressed to see its using some old denim too.

Your quilt has all my favorite colors and has reminded me that a friend gave me that very pattern long ago - it's so beautiful. (Also I loved your previous post with wedding photo)

Hannah, I LOVE this quilt. I have seen similar made from flannelet, but never denim. I'm surprised I didn't think of it, I seem to make anything and everything out of that trusty indigo fabric.
