Peg apron

I saw this picture in a book I borrowed from the library...

...and I just had to make one.

It's an apron to wear while you hang out the washing, so cute and so useful and it really does make the job go faster. Anything that makes hanging out washing go faster is a winner in my opinion!

Great job!
That is such a fabulous idea too. I am constantly sticking pegs on the hems of my skirts because I don't have a cute apron like that to pop them in.
That looks like a great book too.
I hope you are having a fab weekend.

Lovely Hannah, is that made from shadecloth? Or is that the pegs giving it structure? Great Idea! Did you join the Apron Swap?

I love the peg apron! Very stylish. I have one that uses a similar kind of concept, but it hangs around the neck. more of a bag than an apron. My mum made one for me and each of my sisters - just like the one she had as we were growing up. They really do make the washing go in and out faster!

What a good idea! Really, I think we undervalued and threw away alot of wonderful traditions and ideas when we got "modern". Re your creative space, I have found that with my stuff everything is mainly labour, material cost is minimal. Saying that, I (hope) the product I am selling is imaginative and unique so that someone can say "I wouldn't have thought of that or thought to put those things together" Also, there has to be people out there with money who treasure hand made stuff. I know I was one of them a year ago when I was working (in a job I hated)I didn't mind spending my money on creative products. Sorry it's a bit rambling. xxNick

I do like your apron a lot! Think I even like it much more than the one in the book! I just like aprons though. lol. Definitely made sure that I joined in the Apron Swap on Red Gingham.
Have just read all your blog and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for dropping by mine. I love to see new people coming in. :)

saw Steph's apron on her blog & mentioned you made one so had to pop by & see, wow!!
very nice, now if that would make the washing fold itself I'd LOVE it.

Hahaha. You should see the very ugly, ratty thing I loosely call a 'peg apron' to hang out my washing. Not at all pretty like yours! I'd never go back to not using one though.

Love your business cards too. I had already noted your blog header so it was great to see the branding spilling over.

Right, won't bother you anymore... Off I toddle...

Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does this.. except I mostly borrow books to decide if I want to buy them or not.

The nice part about the library books is that you get to keep them for three weeks and then you can take your time deciding if you want to buy them or not, versus having to make an impulsive purchase in the bookstore.
